Common Injuries & Injury Prevention
***This workshop counts as 3 hours towards the Laughing River Yoga 300 Hour Teacher Training Program.
In this 3 Hr. Workshop, we will explore how to safely practice yoga with common injuries and injury prevention in mind. Learn about anatomy, breath mechanics, spinal integrity, range of motion, the kinetic chain, posture, proper use of props, vinyasa krama (the science of intelligent sequencing), adjustments and more! All with the goal of understanding the body so that you can meet yourself where you are, and guide yourself toward greater balance and ease.
We will be focusing on wrists, the spine and low back, shoulders, knees and hips! Whether you are a yoga practitioner or instructor, this workshop will help you become more aware of your own needs and how to tailor your movement practices for your own comfort. Fine-tune your understanding and intuition so that you can feel more confident in your practice and teaching!
This workshop is open to the public, and offered at no additional cost to all students currently enrolled in the Laughing River Yoga 200hr Teacher Training Program.
This workshop will be held in-person at the Chace Mill.
