Common Injuries & Injury Prevention

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

with Malaika DosRemedios

This week-long intensive for yoga teachers and yoga practitioners with at least one year experience will be held in-person at the Chace Mill, M-F 8:30-11:30am.

In this intensive, we will explore how to safely instruct a class with common injuries and injury prevention in mind Learn about anatomy, breath mechanics, spinal integrity, range of motion, the kinetic chain, posture, proper use of props, vinyasa krama (the science of intelligent sequencing), adjustments and more!

All with the goal of understanding the body so that you can create more intelligent sequencing, meet yourself and students where they are, and guide yourself and others toward greater balance and ease in the body.

Develop your ability to observe and cue students so that you can respond more seamlessly to individual needs, even as you guide them to where you want to go. Fine-tune your understanding and intuition so that you can feel more confident and serve with more integrity.
